Objectives:
1. Describe the mechanism of action and FDA-cleared indications for TMS in psychiatric practice.
2. Identify patient profiles most likely to benefit from TMS referral based on current evidence.
3. Recognize clinical indicators during counseling that warrant discussion of TMS as a treatment option.
4. Understand TMS treatment protocols, expected response timelines, and how to monitor client progress during and after TMS.
5. Apply strategies for effective interdisciplinary collaboration between counselors and TMS treatment teams.
